February Chapter Event - Managing Your Career in 2010!
Use the "Leaders as Teachers" Model to Build Your Expertise
Learn the dozens of ways that leaders can teach, why leaders want to teach and come back for more, and how this process can assist in orchestrating organizational change. Our presenter Dr. Ed Betof will discuss how we as learning professionals can help our leaders to be stars through effective recruiting and coaching. He will speak to how we can assist in making learning content come alive through active learning experiences, and review several keys to success for this important learning methodology.
Insights into the field of Training and Development, new competencies and skills for consultants and training professionals, and opportunities and challenges for us to prepare for in the years ahead will be discussed. Research from University of Pennsylvania’s “Executive Program in Workplace Learning Leadership” and findings of the "Leaders as Teachers" model will be shared by our presenter, Dr. Ed Betof.
